Ben C. Ivey, Jr., son of Ben C. Ivey, Sr. and President of Ben C. Ivey Oil Company in Denton, Texas, discusses his family background, his father's automobile and oil business, the creation of Ben C. Ivey Oil Company in 1959, the growth of the business, the background of Sinclair Oil Company, and the sale of gasoline and automotive products. He also talks about gasoline price fluctuations, the purchase and delivery of oil products to markets, personnel, financing the business, government regulations, the future of oil jobbing, his volunteer activities with the Denton State School, his cab and limousine business, and his civic activities.
